Since my 2002 post, I have been working as a massage therapist. I now live in Fairfax Virginia working out of my home. Massage therapy is very healing to practice and now I am yearning to learn how to play the shakuhachi as I expect it is healing to play. Since I enjoy your style, I would like to find the type of shakuhachi that you use.

Hi Debbie, Long time! I hope you are well. It looks like you are very, very busy. Thats GREAT. Remember the good old days and all the laughs we had... I wonder where Morris and Dorris are now? Haven't done that dance in a million years. Any way I went on your web sight to see if you still carried the CD 'Tanoshii? I use it in my creative movement classes and I am doing some guest teaching at the National Ballet School for the teacher training program. I am trying to put together a list of music that I use in my classes. I don't see it so I assume that CD is part of your past. I know you have gone in another direction with the healing music but could you recommend any of your music for movement? Please say hi to Steve for me - All the best, Jane

I'd like to expand the healing aspect of my relationship with the shakuhachi. Thanks for your beautiful website. -gdawn

Recently I've wached TV show with Debbie Danbrook, and wanted to buy "Miracles" CD. The only way to get it was through HMV order. Now it's been almost three weeks since I've placed order ( that was suppose to be Valentine Day present for my wife), and I've been told that it will take another 3-4 weeks before order come. Is there any other faster way to get CD?

Hello Debbie, Just had a look at your website and was inspiring to read your time in Osaka. I am a new student of shakuhachi; began in August 01 with my teacher Ishikawa Toshimitsu. I have been in Japan for many years and 4 years ago was diagnosed with cancer. I was friends with Ray Brooks in my early years in Tokyo and remembered his bamboo flute on one of our hikes and began to listen to the shakuhachi as a form of healing. Well one thing led to another and I bought a wooden shakuhachi to begin with and it has been a wonderful journey since (as you mentioned).

Well, nice to read your site and wish you well.

Since I have visited Japan and also enjoy relaxing music (Ciani or Solitudes etc.)it interested me. Fate had it that I was in a HMV store working when Debbie's CD 'Danbrook Collection' caught my attention (due to her picture on the front) so I bought the CD. I didn't realize when I met her the extent of her recordings and history of her journey. I look forward to listening to more and maybe even catching a live performance. Best wishes Debbie, Mark.

I think that this is a wonderful website. I was directed here by my boyfriend who is also a musician, and creates music (in my opinion, and alot more peoples)that heals the mind, body and spirit. He's "slogan," if that's what you want to call it, is "Art and Liberation through music." It think this is a powerful thing that says so many things about him and his personality.

This web-site is healing to even look at it, I haven't personally listened to any of the music. But the web-site is very positive and a very inspirational thing. Thank you.

I went out yesterday afternoon and bought every CD I could find. We've been listening ever since. We want to go further than just reading an article and listening to CDs (as replenishing as that is).

Hi Debbie - Remember when you came out to Oshawa to do a labyrinth workshop hosted by Michelle Down, Sue Hendricks and me, Lise Kozlinski? Shortly after that weekend I learned I had breast cancer and that news more or less defined how I spent the next year. First there was surgery, recovery, then chemo and radiation treatments, then recovery from the treatments. I am pleased to say I am feeling very well these days. But I particularly want you to know that I listened to your CD's constantly. Your music was a great help in my efforts to stay calm, focused and balanced and to search for connection with a deeper, higher purpose. Thank you and I certainly hope that we have occasion to meet again. In the meantime, I will definitely be listening to healing music.

Love, Lise

I just love the site and Debbie's much is absolutely wonderful! I did my first Labyrinth walk on Feb. 24, 2001 and Debbie played during the walk. It was amazing. I think I would have been better if I hadn't rushed my Labyrinth walk but there was so many people that I couldn't help myself.

I won't walk a Labyrinth without hearing Debbie's music!

Steve's music was really great too. I never a piano had such a wide range of possiblities. Way to go Steve!

I spent a wonderful couple of hours this afternoon listening to Debbie's music and walking a Labyrinth. The peaceful feeling has lingered through the evening, and additional thoughts have continued to expand, like ripples in a pool. I look forward to further meditation with your music when my CD arrives. Thanks. Love.

Thank you.

We were introduced to your music through Liz Inglis from the Teddy Bear B&B near Bancroft, Ontario where we stayed from Sep 30 to Oct 4 following our wedding. We felt so connected to your music and also through the labyrinth which they are there.

Although I cannot read music, it has been a passion for 60 years.

We congratulate you on putting yourself "out there". Since Sep. 11, it is so important for all of us to live our life with passion. The world need inspiration, and it is only through individuals living to their highest ideal that we can raise the global consciousness.

Thank you again.

Today, at a distance I heard the sound of the Shakuhachi being played. This was from your TVO interview. I wrote down your name in hope of finding a Shakuhachi Master in Ontario. Instantly the heart knew this ancient sound.... lost for words. Other than a deep passionate desire to learn the Art of the Shakuhachi.

I saw Debbie on TVO this week with Paula Todd - Person to Person. I was very impressed with Debbie and with the music. I've asked for a Canadian distributor of her CDs so I don't have to order from the U.S. It turns out my son, Greg Moorcroft, worked with Debbie at a Food Co-op several years ago and he has her "Yellow' CD plus he's been to one of her concerts.

I've been selling your CDs for a couple of years now and have been getting a great response from your music. I saw you on TV the other night playing for peace at the Ameican Embassy I think it was. Thank you for your music and inspiration. The music is truly entrancing (so much so that it should come with a warning label not to operate heavy equipment or machinery while listening to it) Peace Peter Probst Safeguard The Office Healer

Found out about Debbie's music this week while I was staying at the Teddy Bear B&B, just south of Bancroft, Ont. They also have a wonderful labyrinth laid out behind their house. Anyway, Liz and I listened to Debbie's music and watched copies of 2 TVO interviews. The music is hauntingly beautiful and most of all, very restful. Well done!

Love both your site and your music. While visiting our daughter in Que I happened to read the Elm Street article, which led me to this site. My wife and I both practice Qigong daily and so have an affinity for your music. Continued success! Lou Cassivi

Debbie, I've been listening, for the first time this week, to your CD Danbrook Collection day in, day out...I'm hooked on your music because it is so profound and soothing. Every time I listen to it, I discover something new. The sound of your shakuhachi sings to my soul. I have introduced it to my massage therapist yesterday and spread the word to my friend. I will certainly use it during my yoga, meditation and when doing my aromatherapy massages for its sound is very healing. Thank you Debbie for sharing your precious gift with the world! Diane

The article about Debbie found me as I looked through yesterday's ELM STREET magazine. I felt a thrill through my soul and told my husband about Debbie and the Sahkuhachi flute. I went out yesterday afternoon and bought every CD I could find. We've been listening ever since. We want to go further than just reading an article and listening to CDs (as replenishing as that is).

I have only one of Debbie's Cd but would love to have several more or the complete set. Excellent for meditation and mental healing and, I found, insitfulness.

Love, Lise

I have just found out about this wonderful music from the "Miracles" CD which was included with some bath products that my girlfriend was given as a gift. The music is wonderful but I have had a hard time finding the other CDs in any store. Hence, I am checking out the web sitre.

Thanks. Love.
